Effect of Fly Ash on the Properties of Fresh Concrete

The use of good quality fly ash with a high fineness and low carbon content reduces the water demand of concrete and consequently, the use of fly ash should permit the concrete to be produced at lower water content when compared to a portland cement concrete of the same workability.
